Time to Clean

Wall Closet

My daughter has taken a vacation, and I have an extra day off, so I might as well use the spare time to clean.    I prefer to have everything organized and clean in my place.  The closet comes first.   Time for me to go through everything I forgot was in there, and to get rid of some junk.

Wow, there’s stuff in there that I was looking all over for.   I pile a load of junk for the salvation army in one  big garbage bag, and stuff to keep in the other.

This is the bedroom where the closet is.   Well, I’ll get to that later.   My family is coming to visit for my daughter’s high school graduation so god forbid if they ever see it looking like that.

Then there’s the basement.   You can’t walk through it without actually stepping on something, and tripping over stuff.   Well I’ll clean it up sometime before June gets here.

After sorting through everything in there, I was exhausted and didn’t want to do any more.   So I tried closing the door, except it wouldn’t close all the way.   That leaves me no choice, but to spend the whole day cleaning it out.   Everything has to get organized whether I want to do this or not.

It looks much better, more like this.

Now, I feel much better, and my mind feels like it’s in a better place.   Having a much cleaner closet makes me feel good.    Now I don’t have to worry about what my family will think of the mess when they get here.    There’s another problem.    How am I going to clean the basement and bedroom in one day?    I really don’t feel like doing any more for now.  That’s okay, I’ll clean it up in May sometime before my family gets here.   Now, it’s time to sit at the computer and to do some more blogging.
